Pricing

Med-IQ’s Risk Management Development Programs deliver clinical risk education to healthcare providers in a targeted, customized, and easy-to-access format. It is not a “one size fits all” approach.

Kathryn Schaefer, MSN, RN, CPHRM, CHCP, FASHRM

Kathy is the associate director of Education and Quality for Med-IQ, a medical education company. Her current role entails overseeing accredited nursing educational activities for quality and accreditation standards and authoring risk management content.

She has presented nationally at the Alliance annual meeting and at the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) Annual Conference. Kathy is a past president of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management’s Board of Directors.

Janelle joined Coverys as a risk consultant in 2002 and supports Med-IQ as the facilitator for the suite of risk and infection prevention collaboration sessions. Janelle is an engaging and highly skilled educator who excels at maximizing educational interaction.

How long does each course take to complete?
A:
Each course awards credit hours, which are indicative of time required to complete. For example, Introduction to Infection Prevention awards 3.25 contact hours, so it should take approximately 3.25 hours to complete the course.
Q:
I’m not a doctor or nurse, but I am an infection prevention professional (IPP). Is this series appropriate for me to take?
A:
Absolutely yes! This series is designed for IPPs, recognizing that not all IPPs have physician or nurse roles.

Infection prevention is one of many hats I wear as a professional. How will this series help me?
A:
This series provides an IPP with the information necessary for entry to practice. It is the core basics for infection prevention in a healthcare environment. The applicability to individual roles can be extrapolated from the content to augment any healthcare
