Receive an overview of statistics, including terms, data types, data collection options, strategies for displaying statistical data, and methods for calculating infection rates.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Learn about the interplay between the antigen/antibody process as it relates to infection transmission, isolation precautions, infectious diseases, vertical and horizontal healthcare-associated infection prevention strategies, and steps to follow when investigating outbreaks.
CLEANING, DISINFECTION, AND STERILIZATION
Gain knowledge about the Spaulding classification system and explore mitigation strategies related to cleaning and disinfection processes; sterilization procedures (including immediate-use steam sterilizers); mechanical, chemical, and biological indicators used during sterilization procedures; and what to do following a failure of disinfection and sterilization procedures.
